1. Be here

When you join a team, you are making a commitment. Players are expected to attend all meetings, practices, and games.  Players will be expected to place their commitment to the team above social events. All absences will be considered 'excused' or 'unexcused'

There are few events or situations that will be considered excused. Some of them are illness (must notify coach prior to absence), extremely significant family obligations (Funerals, Weddings, etc...), and missing a baseball practice for a track meet (if you decide to dual-sport). As a result of excused absences, no discipline will be given out. However, if the coach feels that you are not prepared to participate in the next contest because of missed instruction or sport specific conditioning, he may elect not play you.

Unexcused absences will receive a consequence. Unexcused absences include, but are not limited to, going to a friend's party, going fishing/hunting, attending a concert, or just forgetting. Your first unexcused absence will result in a one-game suspension. Your second unexcused absence will result in having a one on one meeting with Coach Pashak. At that time, your consequence will be determine, the minimum suspension is two games. A third unexcused absence may result in removal from team or increased suspension.

2. Dress the Part

For every practice, players are expected to be prepared for an indoor or outdoor practice.

For indoor practices, players must were pants (no shorts), long or short sleeve shirts, and baseball hat.

For outdoor practices, players must were pants, long sleeve shirt (short sleeves only if temps are above 65 degrees) and baseball hat.

For games, players must have every piece of their uniform on in order to participate in the game. This includes hat, jersey, pants, belt, cleats.

3. Stay Positive

At practice, negative attitudes will be separated from the team. If a player is exhibithing a negative attitude, the player will be asked  to either sit on the stairs (if inside) or sit in the bleechers (if outside). This will allow the player to calm down and still hear the baseball instruction. Also, it will reduce the opportunity for the negativity to spread.

If this behavior occurs more than once, additional consequences will be assigned. These could include game suspensions or in extreme situations, removal from team.

4. Give Effort

Players will hustle on/off the field. Players will sprint to first on every ball in play. Players will slide if a play is going to be close. Being lazy will not be tolerated.

5. Be Respectful

This includes, but is not limited to...

Players will address coaches, as Coach Pashak, Coach Arnold, Coach Cotton, Coach Rocha or Coach Penny, not by first names.

Players will not argue with umpires.

Players will not throw equipment when frustrated.

Players will not use inappropriate language.

Players will keep the clubhouse clean.  All player equipment, clothes, etc will be kept in their locker(s). Nothing should be left out on the floor, on a bench, etc... All dirty clothes will be brought home for the weekend to be washed. Failure to do so will result in consequences.

6. Be Elligible

A player that is not elligible cannot help the team. Therefore, if a player is inelligible, they will not participate in the active portion of practice. They will either be meeting with a teacher for help during practice and or will be working on their school work in the cafetria (if inside) or in the clubhouse (if outside).

Once elligible, it is up to the team's head coach to determine when that player rejoins the active roster.
